The topic of small businesses is always an interesting one, not only because of the unique challenges they face, but very importantly, because of the opportunities they present.
It is with this in mind, that we recently sponsored a SAICA (SA Institute of Chartered Accountants) SME Breakfast at the Hyatt Hotel in Rosebank, which focused on SME challenges of which funding is often a big stumbling block.
Transaction Capital Business Solutions, Head of Sales, Richard Mackenzie was the key note speaker discussing how SME’s can effect cash flow through alternate funding, credit risk and good accounting practice.
In fact, the breakfast raised a number of questions from the SAICA members around small business funding, especially in the current economic situation, which presented us with a great opportunity to not only discuss the services that Transaction Capital Business Solutions brings to the market, but to also provide insight on alternative forms of funding such as asset-backed lending and invoice discounting.
While sometimes overlooked, these solutions can often be the lifeline small businesses need and we certainly appreciated the opportunity to discuss these different options with the SAICA SME practitioners in attendance. SME’s today have many challenges, but funding doesn’t have to be one of them!
